Video on the internet has outperformed the old-fashioned television programs in various aspects. Ritch started his career as a news director for WDBO-TV in Orlando, FL in 1975. He joined the Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) in 1979 and became a Senior Director and Producer for over a thousand shows, such as: The TBS Evening News, Winners, Nice People, Motorweek Illustrated, and the Coors Sports Page. In 1991, he and Melanie Vogan founded ATP, a production company that specializes in sports and events. In 1999, he created programming for ESPN as a “packager". He produced events like: Unlimited Hydroplanes, F1 Boat Racing, and BMX Bike racing. Ritch has produced or directed various sports, including: Racing and Events: Cars, Motorcycles, Offshore Boats, Water Skiing, Snow Skiing, Beach Volleyball, Kayaking, Monster Trucks, Iditarod Sled Dog Race, Drum Corp International, Sun & Fun Lakeland Fly in, Rallies, Marches and more.
